Mumbai: Yes Bank has partnered with the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) as the Official Retail Banking Partner for Team India, extending its association with the country’s Olympic movement as Indian athletes prepare to compete in four major international sporting events in 2026.
The private sector lender will support Team India at the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow, the Asian Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya, the Youth Olympic Games 2026 in Dakar and the Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games 2026 in Riyadh.
The partnership builds on YES BANK’s earlier association as the Official Banking Partner of Team India during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and reflects the bank’s continued investment in sports as part of its broader brand and nation-building strategy.
The bank said the partnership will support Indian athletes competing in more than 100 sporting events across disciplines including weightlifting, boxing, judo, archery, cricket and badminton, among others.

Speaking on this partnership, Vinay M. Tonse, Managing Director & CEO, Yes Bank, said, “We are proud to partner with the Indian Olympic Association in supporting Team India across four marquee international sporting events in 2026. Sport has the extraordinary power to inspire a nation, promote health and well-being, nurture talent at the grassroots, and build character through discipline, resilience and teamwork. These values resonate deeply with YES BANK’s commitment to empowering individuals, communities and businesses, while contributing to India’s nation-building journey. As Team India competes on the global stage, carrying the hopes and aspirations of millions, we are honoured to stand beside our athletes as they strive to bring pride to our nation.”
Welcoming the association, Dr. P.T. Usha, President, Indian Olympic Association, said, “We are delighted to welcome YES BANK as a long-standing partner of the Indian Olympic Association and its continued commitment to growth and development of sports in the country. YES BANK will serve as the ‘Retail Banking Partner’ for Team India across four major sports events in 2026. With this partnership, we are proud to step up our commitment to sporting excellence by building on our previous partnership for the Paris 2024 Olympics. Such valuable partnerships play a key role in strengthening India’s sporting ecosystem and creating greater momentum behind our athletes as they prepare to represent the nation on the global stage. Together, we look forward to celebrating the achievements of our athletes, inspiring millions of Indians, and strengthening sports as a core pillar of development, fully aligned with the larger national vision of Viksit Bharat.”
Over the next six months, the bank will also support Team India during the Youth Olympic Games and the Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games, which feature disciplines including mixed martial arts (MMA), Wushu and kickboxing.
The partnership also aligns with the bank’s efforts to strengthen India-Japan ties ahead of the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, with YES BANK stating that the collaboration seeks to foster people-to-people connections while promoting sporting excellence through its long-term association with the IOA.
