Zee5 expands premium originals slate with Diljit Dosanjh’s Satluj

Mumbai: OTT platform Zee5 has premiered ‘Satluj’, a socially relevant drama inspired by true events, reinforcing its strategy of backing culturally significant and purpose-driven stories. Headlined by Diljit Dosanjh and directed by Honey Trehan, the film is now streaming exclusively on Hindi Zee5.

Produced by RSVP and MacGuffin Pictures, Satluj stars Diljit Dosanjh alongside Arjun Rampal, Kanwaljit Singh, Suvinder Vicky and Geetika Vidya Ohlyan. Inspired by the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh, the film explores themes of courage, justice and accountability against the backdrop of conflict and unexplained disappearances.

The release comes as Zee5 continues to expand its content portfolio with premium original programming alongside marquee sports properties, following the platform’s coverage of the FIFA World Cup 2026 and Bundesliga.

According to the platform, Satluj reflects its commitment to delivering bold, authentic and culturally resonant stories that encourage meaningful conversations while broadening its entertainment offering across multiple Indian languages.

The film follows Jaswant Singh’s decades-long fight to uncover the truth behind thousands of disappearances during a turbulent period, highlighting the human cost of conflict and the pursuit of justice.
