Chennai : As per the ratings of week 49, the South Regional channels showed no significant changes except Tamil Nadu and Andhra Market which saw a marginal increase in overall scenario. Karnataka and Kerala didn’t see any major change.
In TN market Tamil GECs, Sun TV increased to 246,332 GVTs in week 49 from 239,206 GVTs in week 48. Vijay has seen its ratings increase to 69,329 GVTs in week 49 from 68,954 GVTs in week 48. Polimer too saw its ratings increase marginally to 20,684 GVTs this week from 20,265 GVTs in week 48. Jaya TV increased phenomenally to 20,630 GVTs in week 49 from 14,646 GVTs in week 48. Raj TV saw its ratings increase to 20,592 GVTs in week 49 from 18,400 GVTs in week 48. Kalaignar TV saw a slight decline to 20,449 GVTs in week 49 from 20,696 GVTs in week 48. Zee Tamil saw an increase in its ratings to 19,009 GVTs in week 49 from 17,975 GVTs in week 48.
In the Andhra Pradesh market, Gemini saw an increase to 134,276 GVTs in week 49 from 87,783 GVTs in week 48. MAA saw its ratings dip to 98,671 GVTs in week 49 from 113,552 GVTs in week 48. Zee Telugu decreased to 94,417 GVTs in week 49 from 99,005 GVTs in week 48. ETV declined to 82,606 GVTs in week 49 from 85,883 GVTs in week 48.
In Karnataka Market Kannada GECs, Udaya saw its ratings decline to 59,098 GVTs in week 49 from 70,048 GVTs in week 48. ETV Kannada declined to 50,567 GVTs in week 48 from 51,555 GVTs in week 48. Suvarna declined to 40,838 GVTs in week 49 from 43,846 GVTs in week 48. Zee Kannada increased to 30,993 GVTs in week 49 from 32,073 GVTs in week 48. Kasturi saw a small increase to 6817 GVTs in week 49 from 6306 GVTs in week 48.
In the Kerala market, Asianet declined marginally to 50,769 GVTs this week from 54,740 GVTs last week. Surya increased marginally this week to 15,518 GVTs from 15,427 GVTs a week earlier. Asianet Plus declined to 4577 GVTs in week 49 from 4745 GVTs in week 48. Kairali declined this week to 3773 GVTs from 4166 GVTs last week. Amrita declined to 2036 GVTs in week 49 from 2095 GVTs in week 48.
