McDowell’s No. 1 Soda fulfil wackiest Yaari Promises Live

McDowell’s No.1 Soda celebrates the bonds of brotherhood and through the “Yaari Nibhao, Jeet Manao” campaign it is bringing alive the time-honoured tradition that when close friends who are also frenzied sport lovers come together to watch a cricket match, they often make incredulous or silly promise in the hope of securing their favourite team’s victory.

For the RCB vs. DD IPL match, McDowell’s No.1 Soda is bringing together India’s hottest TV hosts and actors Rannvijay Singha and Danish Sait who are ardent Royal Challengers Bangalore fans and their closest friends Raghu Ram and Rajiv Laxman who are enthusiastic Delhi Daredevils supporters.

McDowell’s No 1 Soda has created this unique digital engagement where through the Facebook LIVE feature, millions of fans can see these best friends make and fulfil the zaniest and whackiest ‘Yaari promises’ to support their favourite teams.

Commenting on this unique initiative, Subroto Geed, Senior Vice President, Marketing at United Spirits said, “During the T20 World Cup, McDowell’s No. 1 Soda brought together Rannvijay and Manish Paul to watch the India vs. Australia match to support Team India with their Yaari Promises. It was a new benchmark in audience engagement and second screen experience with almost a million people watching their act LIVE. This IPL season, it gets even bigger as we will see a different shade of friendship when Rannvijay and Danish support RCB and Raghu and Rajiv support DD through their Yaari promises. We are looking forward to seeing how their Yaari wins in the end.”

The entire activity will be streamed live on the Facebook pages of McDowell’s No 1 Soda, Rannvijay Singh Singha and Raghu Ram on May 22nd during the RCB vs. DD game from 8 p.m. onwards. This activity concept has been co-created by DDB Mudra and Elements MediaWorks and will be digitally supported by 7Edge.

McDowell’s No. 1 Soda is also running a contest where cricket crazy ‘yaars’ are being urged to make and  fulfil the craziest No. 1 Yaari promises, to celebrate their friendships and also get a chance to win some fabulous prizes.
