Calcutta Times launches “Shop with the Stars” campaign

Kolkata: DurgaPujo one of the most famous festivals in Kolkata, is celebrated in honor of Goddess Durga during the period of Navaratri. This year, Calcutta Times – entertainment and lifestyle supplement of leading daily The Times of India, has launched a new campaign: Shop with the Stars, to add to the festive cheers in Kolkata, running up to DurgaPujo.

Shopping for DurgaPujo is an integral part of everyone in Kolkata, the Calcutta Times plans to bring leading ladies of Kolkata Cinema to accompany the campaign winners on a Shopping Date during the run up to DurgaPujo.

Calcutta Times is adding zing to this year’s DurgaPujo shopping trips with ace actors of Tollywood – Mimi Chakraborty, NusratJahan, Subhashree Ganguly – will take you on the Shopping Date to prep for the Pujo. Launched as an interactive campaign on multimedia, the audience must answer a series of questions, to win this shopping trip. What more! The winners also get their festive wardrobe sponsored by Calcutta Times.

Speaking about the initiative, SanjeevBhargava, Director, Brand TOI said, “DurgaPujo is one of the biggest festival of the year, especially in West Bengal. Shopping is the fun part of preparing for celebrations where friends, family, everyone ardently exchanges notes. We publish a lot on trends, new fashion styles, style bloopers and continuously track celebrity fashion tips. This year, we are taking it a notch higher by giving our readers a complete experience of Shopping with the Star, like a Star and be a Star. The way only Calcutta Times can. But, yes one must earn this opportunity through engaging in multiple tasks on print and our social media handles. It is indeed a money-cannot-buy opportunity that we present. The campaign has been initiated on 1st September where the winners will now stand a chance to treat themselves to a shopping spree like no other with their favorite style icon. The first leg of the campaign begins with a social media and digital contest where one can share looks designed by them; and the best submissions will be shortlisted for the next round. Top participants will win a shopping spree with their favorite celebrity style icon at Kolkata’s most popular shopping destinations.
