Zee Anmol continues to dominate U+R and Rural HSM; Star Plus tops the Urban HSM

BARC Wk 2 : Sony regains top spot in Urban HSM & becomes No. 2 in U+R; Zee Anmol continues to lead Rural

Mumbai : The BARC data for week 35 for the period between Saturday, 25th August 2018 and Friday, 31st August 2018 has unveiled the ratings of the channel in the Hindi GEC market. Zee Anmol continues to dominate the HSM U+R market with 699774 (000s) impressions, while Star Plus and Star Utsav have interchanged their positions standing at 2nd the 4th places with 650282 (000s) impressions and 617438 (000s) impressions. Star Bharat is seen retaining the 3rd place with 624084 (000s) impressions though there is a dip in the impressions. While Zee TV has retained its position in the 6th place in the list with 587456 (000s) impressions, with 589461(000s) impressions Sony Pal has taken the 5th place pushing Colors to the 7th place with 572774 (000s) impressions. Rishtey and Sony Sab are placed in the same position with 489549 (000s) impressions and 473572 (000s) impressions. Dangal TV is dropped out of the top 10 channels list in week 35, whereas Sony Entertainment Television is seen as a new entrant in the list with 487858 (000s) impressions.

Urban HSM

The Urban HSM market has not witnessed much of changes in week 35, Star Plus retained its leadership in the ratings chart with 449550 (000s) impressions. Colors and Sony Entertainment Television have garnered 394991 (000s) impressions and 360006 (000s) impressions respectively. Zee TV 351980 (000s) impressions has moved down to place against the 3rd place in week 34. The rest of the list remains unchanged against week 34.

Rural HSM:

The week 35 ratings for the HSM rural market remains the same except for Big Magic and Zee TV that has interchanged positions standing at 7th and 8th places in the list. Zee Anmol continued its leadership in the HSM rural market with 565647 (000s) impressions followed by Star Utsav and Sony Pal with 442493 (000s) impressions and 414559 (000s) impressions respectively. Rishtey and Dangal TV stood at No. 4 and No.5 with 368835 and 352099 (000s) impressions. Star Bharat takes the 6th place in the list while Big Magic and Zee TV managed to occupy the 7th and 8th places in the chart respectively. Star Plus is placed at the 9th position with 200732 and with 177783 managed to occupy the 10th place.
