Hyderabad : Zee Telugu announces the world television premiere of Chinna Babu, a love drama, filled with emotional sequences on family bonding, starring Karthi and Sayyeshaa. Playing a down to earth family man, the film also preaches about the greatness of farming. The story of Chinna Babu revolves around Krishnama Raju (Karthi), the youngest of his family, a loving farmer who hails from a small town. His father, Penugonda Rudraraju (Sathyaraj) was determined to have a son, despite having five daughters with his wife (Viji Chandrasekhar). So, he marries Krishnama Raju’s mother, (Bhanupriya) so he can have a son. Upon Penugonda Rudraraju’s wishes coming true, Krishnama Raju, despite not being very educated, goes on to become a farmer.
As the film progresses, his sisters (played by Priya Bhavani Shankar and Arthana) quarrel amongst each other with a wish to marry Krishnama; however, he meets and falls in love with Neerada (Sayyeshaa). How he helps his family understand his choice, and fight against those working against his family is what forms the crux of the film. Imman’s music, and Velraj’s cinematography make it easy to embrace the film to the fullest.
