Chennai: Actor Radhika Sarathkumar, known for her popularity among South television audience through her chart topping fiction shows, marks her TV debut as game show host with the Tamil Version of popular quiz game show Kaun Banega Crorepati. The global first all women KBC format titled in Tamil as ‘Kodeeswari’ is scheduled for airing on Colors Tamil shortly.
Amitabh Bachchan who has been the host of Hindi KBC and man behind the popularity of KBC format among Indian audience, congratulated and sent his wishes to the actor on becoming the first woman ever to host the show among its many versions globally.
Based on the UK show, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? Contestants are invited to the ‘hot seat’ after a ‘fastest finger first’ round and the contestants cross each stage by answering general knowledge questions.
This is not the first time that KBC has got a regional version in India. There have been Bhojpuri, Marathi, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali, Telugu, and Malayalam versions as well.
Radikaa has shared the screen with Amitabh Bachchan in Laal Badshah and Aaj Ka Arjun.
