Senior journalist Rohit Sardana passes away

Mumbai: Rohit Sardana, Aaj Tak anchor and senior journalist, passed away on Friday. Sardana reportedly died of a heart attack. A week before his demise, he had also tested positive for Covid-19.

Sardana had tweeted that he tested positive for COVID-19  on  April 24.

Sardana had joined Aaj Tak in 2017 after he left Zee News.

Sardana’s untimely demise has shocked the media community, and several people took to Twitter to express their condolences.

Shocked to hear about #RohitSardana. I remember how he gave his everything to host an event in Hisar, which was right after me joining the upper house. Despite his first, he performed as a pro. Rohit was a prodigy boy. I will miss him.
