discovery+ brings Say Yes To The Dress in India, ropes in Badshah for its music video

Mumbai: discovery+ is all set to surprise its audiences by bringing the  Indian version of the hit international franchise Say Yes To The Dress to the country! Right in time for the wedding season, the brand has roped in one of India’s most popular rappers and youth sensations, Badshah for the music video. Joining him as the female lead singer is none other than the melodious Payal Dev. This groovy track is composed by Aditya Dev and the video is produced by the production house, The Content Team. To take the song’s virality quotient up a notch, discovery+ has roped in everyone’s favorite dancer, the highly celebrated Punit J Pathak to choreograph it.

That’s not it! Audiences for the first time get to witness the legendary composer Badshah in five different never seen before avatars including that of an event manager, pandit, chef, rapper, and fashion designer, bringing about the energy that has no match. Not only does the video showcase real-time brides but also successfully brings out the show’s core theme of fun, celebration, and giving each bride the attention, they deserve. While the show is visually mesmerizing, the rapper’s newest wedding track is sure to get one swaying, making its way to the top of your playlist!

Badshah on his new track for discovery+ ’s Say Yes To The Dress India, said, “The song hits the right notes for each bride, and it was absolutely fun to envision its playout as I tried to capture the multiple thoughts that run through the mind of a bride. For the first time, I was not just being myself but playing some quirky avatars which made the experience one of a kind for me too.” He further added, “It has been an absolute delight to collaborate with discovery+ for the second time this year and I look forward to working with them on more such interesting projects in the future. I hope this song sets the bar high and makes its way to everyone’s playlist as they Say Yes To The Dress.”

“Listening to the track, I knew it was going to be the song of the season so I tried to keep the choreography as simple and catchy as possible so that everyone can recreate it with ease on any Indian wedding or party occasion. Also, Badshah has created such an amazing and catchy song and I had to justify it visually hence thought of bringing a surprise element for his fans by showcasing him in a never seen before looks of a Pandit, Wedding Planner, Chef, and Designer which he portrayed so well.”, said choreographer Punit J Pathak.

Premiering on 8th December 2021, Say Yes To The Dress India celebrates brides from different walks of life as top-notch fashion designers of the country who help them choose and curate their dream attire.
