Mazhavil Music Awards which recognizes the best music talents of Malayalam film industry hosted the 4th award event on December 17, 2021.
The awards honour achievements in Malayalam music industry across 9 categories – Lifetime Achievement Award, Best Lyricist Award, Special Jury Award, Best Music Director Award, Best Duet Award, Song of the Year Award, Best Female Singer Award, Best Male Singer Award, and Debut Award.
The winners are chosen through a process of public polls.
Renowned singer P Jayachandran was conferred the Lifetime Achievement award. The Best Music Director was awarded to M Jayachandran, Sithara Krishnakumar bagged the Best Female Singer award and K.S. Harisankar won the Best Male Singer award.
