In India the Engineer’s Day is celebrated on 15th September to acknowledge the brilliant minds of the Engineers helping in nation building. The day commemorates the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, to acclaim his works in the field of Engineering & Education. 

Engineers are the pillars of our society, working hard day and night to provide us with the best infrastructure. They are always on the ‘go’ constantly thinking and exploring the opportunity to create something new and different.

Brands have used their technical minds to honour the Engineers with their brilliant campaigns spreading awareness to the audiences on the remarkable contribution by Engineers. 

Featured campaigns are Godrej & Boyce, JSW Group, Larsen & Toubro, UltraTech Cement, JK Lakshmi Cement, Tata Tiscon, RapiPay Fintech and PrepInsta.

Godrej & Boyce

Godrej & Boyce, the flagship company of the Godrej Group, celebrates the ingenuity of Engineers for helping build a world that works for generations to come in their most recent film. Conceptualized by Creativeland Asia, the film pays tribute to the diverse engineering streams which are vital in building the nation, thus helping India move towards being the next global superpower.

Godrej & Boyce, through this film, showcases its engineering prowess by featuring its own engineers that are making a difference to this world one contribution at a time. From engineers that have worked on towards developing eco-friendly batteries that can be recycled, to creating the newly launched Insulicool – a device that helps diabetic patients live a better life and engineering feats that have reduced the time taken to produce railway coaches by 50%. It also showcases unique engineers’ profiles such as their environmental engineer who actively works towards conserving mangroves, our blue carbon guardians.

JSW Group

“What do engineers do?” This Engineer’s Day, JSW asks this seemingly simple question to remind us the importance of engineers in shaping the world. There is no doubt that engineers make and create the world we inhabit, and what better day to celebrate their work than Engineer’s Day.

JSW Group in partnership with Repindia celebrated Engineer’s Day with a heartfelt message about their role in building the country. Giving it a curious child’s perspective, the film talks about all things great and small that engineers have created to make our nation better.

Larsen & Toubro

Larsen & Toubro, a major Indian multinational in technology, engineering, construction, manufacturing and financial services, has undertaken and successfully completed numerous state-of-art projects over the past 80 years. Over the years, L&T’s engineers have enabled the Company to not only set global benchmarks but have also envisioned and delivered projects that have made India proud. It is because of these visionaries that L&T is known as ‘builders to the nation’.

On the occasion on World Engineers Day, the special video created by L&T features a small girl creating an innovative hand-made bridge made of twigs, creepers and vine to rescue and help ants cross over the stream. The video celebrates the determination of the engineer within us to think big and create magic through innovation.

UltraTech Cement

UltraTech Cement Limited, India’s largest producer of grey cement, white cement and ready-mix concrete released a film #KyunHaiItnaVishwas? on the occasion of Engineers Day. The film celebrates our nation’s trust in engineers and the trust engineers have in UltraTech; highlighting and reflecting their immense contribution in building the country’s infrastructure as well as their own homes.

This film is UltraTech’s humble gesture of saluting our nation’s Engineers for their steadfast contribution to India’s growth. The campaign has been conceptualized and created by Infectious Advertising.

 JK Lakshmi Cement 

JK Lakshmi Cement launched a digital film to honor all the engineers who are the engine of our nation. Conceptualized by JK Lakshmi Cement and BC Web Wise, the film celebrates the minds behind every foundation of India – The Engineers. 

The brand strongly believes that if there is a will to make things possible, there is always an engineer making that dream come true. It’s their immense effort that builds a nation and keeps its foundation stronger for centuries to come. Through the brand’s point of view and an energetic narration, the film salutes the incredible  diligence of every engineer who, in one way or the other has contributed to the making of our nation. 

Tata Tiscon

It’s Engineers’ Day again and Tata Tiscon is back with its fifth story in the brand’s digital film content series– ‘The Build’, that started in 2018, celebrating the role of engineers in our society.

June 23 is celebrated as ‘International Women in Engineering Day’ to honour women in the field of engineering. While September 15 is celebrated as Engineer’s Day in India to honour the achievements of the great engineer M Visvesvaraya. In this episode, the Engineer’s Day film takes into account the significance of both the days, with a special focus on the importance of the role of women in engineering. Conceptualized by Wunderman Thompson India, in the film titled The Japanese Dinner, the endearing duo, The Engineer and The Banker is joined by the latter’s fiancée, who incidentally is also an Engineer.

RapiPay Fintech

As messages and quotes pour in on the Engineers Day, RapiPay Fintech, wished all the engineers in a quirky post on its social media account showing how engineers think differently than others. The message conveys how engineers are constantly thinking and exploring the opportunity to create something new and different. Engineer’s Day in India is celebrated every year on September 15 to commemorate the birth anniversary of India’s first Civil Engineer, Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya.

PrepInsta

PrepInsta, a platform for placement preparation, and a rising edtech brand has announced a digital campaign #BeLimitless on the occasion of Engineers Day. The brand understands that during the placement season a lot of students aspire for prestigious jobs however, are uncertain about the approach to be followed.

In light of the same, the platform has unveiled a digital campaign wherein the founders themselves are seen talking about this phase and elaborating on how the brand can help them prepare and plan a better approach to launch the career.
