Swiggy, a platform that delivers food and groceries, has appointed Aparna Giridhar from Unilever as their new Vice President of Marketing. Giridhar will take over from Ashish Lingamneni, who previously held the position.
During her career spanning more than 11 years at Unilever, Giridhar has held multiple positions including Area Sales Manager for Personal Care, Shopper Marketing Manager for the South Cluster (Karnataka and Kerala), Senior Brand Manager for Lakme and Elle 18, Marketing Manager for Glow & Lovely and Simple Skincare, and General Manager for eCommerce at HUL.
In her last role as General Manager of the eCommerce business, she was responsible for the growth and market share of the B2C business across all verticals. She was also in charge of driving and executing the business strategy for eCommerce, which included managing the portfolio, media, performance marketing, and scaling launches.
