A principled man with a fondness for the fine aesthetics of life
It’s inevitable that anyone who knew Kurien at any stage went away with the impression of having met a ‘gentleman.’ Now that he has left all of us, we will repeatedly hear that word about him. And it is 100 percent correct.
For all his gutsiness, commitment, taking risks, standing by his decisions and consistent managerial ethic, he was simply a principled man with a fondness for the fine aesthetics of life – good art, good spaces, good behaviour, good food and a good beverage or two.
I haven’t known anyone like him with a thousand friends on call and always with a helpful thing to say to them. A professional and an ace manager, for sure. But, most of all, a gentleman. And a peerless one, at that.
