As Durga Puja approaches, brands across India are unveiling vibrant campaigns that celebrate the festival’s rich cultural heritage and emotional significance. From ENO’s focus on festive feasting to Simply Fresh’s tribute to female empowerment, each campaign resonates with the spirit of the occasion. This listicle highlights how various brands—from footwear to jewellery—are creatively engaging with audiences, ensuring that the essence of Durga Puja is woven into their messaging. Following are the campaigns that not only promote products but also honor traditions and foster community spirit during this cherished celebration.

Dabur Chyawanprash 

In a groundbreaking move for Durga Puja, Dabur Chyawanprash launched the ‘Pujo with Dada’ campaign, featuring Sourav Ganguly as Brand Ambassador. This fusion of technology and tradition enhances festive connections, fostering deeper bonds among families. The campaign, by BTDT Media and Garima Goel, reimagines personal greetings with a digital touch. Beyond branding, Dabur aims to embody joy and togetherness during Puja, leveraging Ganguly’s strong ties to the Bengali community for a unique, personal marketing approach.

ENO

ENO’s Durga Puja campaign for its latest product, ENO Chewy Bites, aims to help people enjoy festive feasting without acidity interruptions. Celebrating food as a part of the cultural celebration, the campaign ensures comfort in savoring Pujo flavors with fast relief. Ditipriya features in a brand film, adding a fun twist to a Bengali saying with ENO Chewy Bites as the solution for uninterrupted enjoyment of the festive food variety.

Simply Fresh

Simply Fresh, the flagship brand of BN Group, an edible oil manufacturer, has launched a brand film to celebrate the spirit of Durga Pooja. #HarLadkiDurga, the campaign pays tribute to Goddess Durga, who symbolises strength, courage, and female empowerment.

The video campaign looks to reflect the core message that every woman embodies the essence of Goddess Durga. It inspires viewers to recognise and respect women’s inner strength as they navigate life’s challenges with resilience and determination.

Senco Gold & Diamonds

Senco Gold & Diamonds launched a festive Durga Puja campaign celebrating a woman’s inner beauty, resilience, and strength. The ‘Aparupa’ campaign highlights joy, reverence, cultural heritage, and pride. It captures rituals and celebrations while symbolizing the divine presence of Maa Durga and the brand’s identity. Aparupa signifies unparalleled beauty, blending tradition and modernity in jewellery designs, reflecting the spirit of homecoming and festive exuberance.

Shalimar Agarbatti

Incense brand Avida ropes in actor Abir Chatterjee for new campaign, emphasizing discerning consumer habits in choosing various products but overlooking quality in agarbatti purchases due to reliance on retailers. Campaign aims to promote Avida’s fragrance quality, urging consumers to prioritize it over high-margin, low-quality alternatives in a humorous manner.

Tata CLiQ

Tata CLiQ launched a Durga Puja social media campaign with Madhumita Sarcar and Sonali Mitra, presenting festive curations for shoppers. The ‘House of Utsav’ represents the essence of home during the festive season, offering a wide range of products for celebrations. The campaign blends cultural significance with fashion choices, showcasing curated looks across categories for Durga Puja. Madhumita and Sonali feature in a video exploring various styles available at the store, capturing the festival’s joy and cultural essence in Kolkata.

Paragon

Paragon’s ‘Pujo Mane Chonmone Mon, Chola Mane-e Paragon’ campaign celebrates Durga Pujo, dialing up the emotion of the occasion. The integrated traditional and new media approach includes thematic ads, Pujo wishes, celebrity endorsements, and promoting festive footwear. Positioned as ‘Jed, Egiye Cholar’, Paragon’s festive collection embodies the celebration’s spirit. Celebrities featured in videos and other channels enhance the campaign’s reach, emphasizing Paragon as a key companion during the festivities. A ‘Durga Pujo Quiz’ engages the audience, offering Pujo passes and encouraging wholehearted celebration.

Licious

Durga Pujo isn’t merely a festival; it’s a celebration of food, friendship, and family beloved by Bengalis worldwide. In its third Pujo campaign, Licious, a leading D2C brand, pays tribute to these traditions through an ad showcasing home-cooked meals and culinary memories. The vibrant ad features Arjun Chakrabarty, Preeti Sarkar, and Unmesh Ganguly enjoying a lunch hosted by Sohini Sarkar, with her signature dish, kosha mangsho made with Licious’ mutton, evoking cherished Pujo experiences.

Nikon India:

Nikon India Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Nikon Corporation, has launched its ‘Amaar Pujo with Nikon’ campaign, which will run from October 1st to October 13th, 2024. This initiative aims to celebrate Durga Puja, one of India’s most beloved festivals, particularly in Bengal and the eastern regions of the country. Whether you’re exploring vibrant pandals, enjoying festive bhog, showcasing your traditional attire, or participating in cultural performances, Nikon is here to capture every moment of your unique Pujo experience.

To enhance the celebrations, Nikon invites all to register the camera or lens on the My Nikon App for exclusive benefits. Customers who purchase a Mirrorless Z series camera or lenses between October 1st and November 31st, 2024, can register on the app to unlock an extended 6-month service warranty.

ITC’s Aashirvaad Atta

ITC’s Aashirvaad Atta launches ‘Durgotinashinir Shondhane’ campaign celebrating mothers’ strength. Mothers, like Ma Durga, play a vital role in nourishing families. At Baghbazar Sarbojonin Durga Puja Pandal, mothers can grind chakkis to power a screen depicting Ma Durga defeating Mahishasur. Each grind symbolizes mothers’ tireless efforts. Aashirvaad Atta partners with NGO Shoishob, donating 4 kgs of Atta for every participation round to support underprivileged children’s nutrition.

Sunsilk

Sunsilk has unveiled an innovative campaign in Kolkata, transforming the city’s iconic trams into vibrant showcases that celebrate beauty and tradition. Running from September 27th to October 2nd, the #SunsilkShineTram activation highlights Sunsilk’s Super Shine Hair Serum in the lead-up to Durga Puja, one of the city’s most cherished festivals.

Style Baazar

Style Baazar, a fashion retailer brand has launched a Durga Puja campaign to celebrate Navratri. The digital campaign encourages audiences to embrace their sense of fashion this pujo season without straining their budgets. Fronting the campaign is Style Baazar’s brand ambassador, Mimi Chakraborty.

Style Baazar’s mainline Durga Puja campaign, #PujoiEbarIAmTheShowstopper, highlights the distinct styles of their customers and audiences. It runs from September to October. The aim is to create engagement across the brand’s social media platforms for the West Bengal audiences, where Durga Puja is mainly celebrated.

Kalyan Jewellers

Kalyan Jewellers launched digital ad series for Navratri celebrating cultural diversity with state-specific jewellery designs featured by brand ambassadors Ritabhari Chakraborty and Kinjal Rajpriya, embodying empowerment and resilience akin to Maa Durga. The campaign, following #TraditionOfTogetherness, honors Durga Pujo’s spirit, emphasizing unity, love, and the divine presence of Maa Durga.

ITC Sunrise Spices

ITC’s Sunrise Spices launched the innovative Sunrise Spice Art Campaign at Sunrise 66 Palli puja mandap to honor womanhood through captivating art and performances. The centerpiece is a 30-foot spice art installation with a mortar and pestle pouring spices from a Sunrise-branded jar, paying tribute to women’s strength. Festivities included a special performance with two songs: “Sunrise Durgotinashini” and “Sunrise Dashabhuja,” reflecting women’s inner strength and the spirit of “Ghore Ghore Durga”.

Marico’s Nihar Naturals

Marico Limited’s new TVC for Nihar Naturals, the “Pujo Ready with Nihar” campaign, celebrates Durga Puja by highlighting beauty rituals that empower women to feel confident with beautiful, healthy hair. The film portrays a young woman preparing for the festival with Nihar Naturals, emphasizing the importance of meticulous preparation and using the right products for a confident and radiant look during the celebrations.
