Rajiv Ghumman promoted to Global Business Head at Loca Loka

Singapore: Loca Loka, the India-based alco-bev company making waves internationally, has strengthened its leadership team by elevating industry veteran Rajiv Ghumman to the position of Global Business Head.

A seasoned name in the AlcoBev industry, Rajiv brings over 20 years of experience building global brands across India and Southeast Asia. His impressive portfolio includes stints with Bacardi, Jose Cuervo, and United Distillers India Ltd., where he managed iconic brands like Black & White, Vat 69, and White Horse Whisky.

In his new role, Rajiv will oversee global marketing strategies, sales operations, and expansion initiatives, with a focus on driving Loca Loka’s presence in key markets, including the United States, Southeast Asia, Dubai, and London.

Commenting on his appointment, Rajiv Ghumman, Global Business Head, said, “It is an honor to step into this global role at such a transformative time for Loca Loka and the tequila industry at large. Harsha Vadlamudi, Founder of Loca Loka, expressed confidence in Rajiv’s ability to lead the company’s global growth, “Rajiv has consistently demonstrated unparalleled strategic insight and a deep understanding of our industry over the last 18 months. His leadership has been instrumental in our remarkable growth within global markets. As we venture into new territories across the US, Southeast Asia, Dubai, and London, I am confident that his vision will help us establish Loca Loka as a global force in the tequila category.”

In the last six months, Loca Loka has successfully entered key international markets, launching in the United States and Southeast Asia. These expansions align with the tequila industry’s robust global growth, projected at a CAGR of 8.1% between 2022 and 2028, with the market size expected to grow from 415.4 million liters in 2023 to 594.7 million liters by 2030.

Loca Loka’s premium offerings include:

  • Tequila Blanco: Featuring the fruity flavors of cooked agave with floral Highland agave notes, priced at $40 for 750ml.
  • Tequila Reposado: A richer, aged tequila with aromas developed in French and American oak barrels, retailing at $49 for 750ml.

With ambitious plans to penetrate new global markets and an unwavering commitment to quality, Loca Loka is set to redefine the premium tequila landscape.
