India First, India Today’s Trusted News Show, Targeted by Fake Video — Here’s the Truth
Share Share ShareShare

Mumbai: A misleading video circulating on social media falsely claims that Pakistan hacked India Today TV during a live broadcast of the channel’s flagship prime-time show ‘India First’, anchored by popular journalist Gaurav Sawant. The video alleges that an Islamic song was played mid-debate as a result of a hacking incident, this claim is entirely false.

India Today Fact Check; a novel initiative has verified that this clip is fake and digitally altered. The original episode, telecasted on May 30 aired without any interruption or technical issue. There was no breach or hacking of the channel’s live feed, the original telecast of the episode was seamless and without any technical anomalies.

‘India First’ is renowned for its field-driven reporting, ground-zero insights, deep defence and strategic affairs coverage – showcasing anchor Gaurav Sawant’s journalistic principle that news must be experienced first-hand, not merely narrated from studios.
