The campaign champions ambition, pressure, and performance – through AI-enabled tech and two icons who’ve rewritten the rules

Mumbai: Lenovo India has unveiled its latest brand campaign, “Damn the Odds”, featuring cricket star Jasprit Bumrah and gaming creator Mithilesh Patankar (aka Mythpat), officially introducing both icons as brand ambassadors. The campaign celebrates Gen Z’s ambition and resilience, showcasing how Lenovo’s AI-driven tech empowers individuals to thrive under pressure and unlock peak performance.

Built on the insight that today’s generation faces constant pressure—from academics to social expectations—“Damn the Odds” positions Lenovo’s AI innovation as a powerful enabler. Through the stories of Bumrah and Mythpat, the campaign demonstrates how technology transforms preparation and passion into measurable performance.

In one of the films, Bumrah is seen training in a high-tech AI lab, using Lenovo AI Now to analyse his wrist movements, ball trajectory, and fine-tune his delivery through simulations and real-time feedback.

Reflecting on his journey from a modest upbringing in Ahmedabad to becoming the only bowler ranked No. 1 across all formats, Bumrah acknowledges the impact of smart tech, “Whether it’s cricket or life, preparation is everything. Tech today helps break down the micro-movements, identify areas of improvement, and sharpen instincts. Data and analytics have become a core part of modern cricket. What stood out to me about Lenovo’s AI-powered approach is how personal it feels – it’s built around how I train, think and perform.”

Mythpat’s film captures his unconventional path from engineering intern to YouTube sensation, using tech and humour to build a 16-million-strong community and carve out a genre-defining presence online.

With this campaign, Lenovo deepens its focus on the expanding AI PC and gaming markets in India, reinforcing its global legacy in sports and esports with previous partnerships including FIFA, F1, and MotoGP—now expanding into cricket and gaming in India through this dynamic initiative.
