Amazon has elevated senior leader Anuradha Aggarwal to the role of Director, Marketing and Growth for Amazon India, marking the latest step in her distinguished career across consumer goods, telecom, media, and digital payments.
In a note on LinkedIn, announcing the move, Aggarwal said, “Excited to share that I have taken on a new charter to lead Marketing and Growth for Amazon India. The recent years at Amazon Pay have been an incredible journey of learning and growth. As I step into this new role, I look forward to building on that foundation, working with talented colleagues across Amazon worldwide, and continuing to focus on customer-centered growth.”
Prior to this transition, Aggarwal was Director, User Growth at Amazon and served as Chief Marketing Officer for Amazon Pay, where she played a crucial role in strengthening customer adoption and engagement for the payments business.
Aggarwal brings over two decades of cross-industry experience. She began her career at Hindustan Unilever as an Area Sales Manager before moving into brand management and later leading the hair care portfolio as Category Marketing Manager. Her career then expanded into telecom with Vodafone, where she rose to Senior Vice President – Brand Communications, Insights and Online.
Her global experience includes a leadership stint at Mondelez International as Marketing Director – Biscuits, APAC, where she drove growth for brands such as Oreo, Chips Ahoy, and Belvita, and spearheaded innovation, product development, and regional brand deployment across Asia-Pacific markets.
Aggarwal also served as Chief Marketing Officer at Marico, overseeing the company’s diverse FMCG portfolio, and later took charge of Star TV Network’s Kids, Infotainment, and English clusters as Cluster Head, further broadening her leadership in media and entertainment.
With her elevation, Amazon India is betting on Aggarwal’s proven expertise in building consumer brands, scaling growth initiatives, and leading marketing transformation across industries.
