Mumbai: HDFC Mutual Fund has launched a special Investor Education and Awareness initiative under its ongoing ‘WealthCare’ programme to mark National Doctor’s Day, encouraging healthcare professionals to focus on their financial well-being while continuing their commitment to patient care.
The initiative is based on the insight that doctors often dedicate themselves to caring for others, leaving their own long-term financial aspirations and planning behind. As part of the campaign, HDFC Mutual Fund has released a digital film that reverses the traditional doctor-patient relationship, with family members, friends, colleagues and loved ones urging doctors to take time to plan for their own future.
At the centre of the campaign is WealthCare, HDFC Mutual Fund’s Financial Health Diagnostic Platform, designed to help doctors assess their financial preparedness and make informed investment decisions. The platform enables healthcare professionals to evaluate their financial well-being, identify areas that may require attention and access investor education resources through a dedicated landing page. It also aims to simplify the process of understanding one’s financial position based on individual risk appetite while encouraging informed investing.

Commenting on the initiative, Navneet Munot, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, HDFC Asset Management Company Limited, said, “Doctors devote their lives to the health and wellbeing of society, often putting their patients ahead of themselves. They know that lasting health is built through prevention and steady care. Financial wellbeing develops the same way, through awareness and informed decisions made consistently over time. With WealthCare, part of our Investor Education and Awareness efforts, we wanted to give something back to the medical community for their selfless service, offering doctors a simple place to begin planning for the future they have worked so hard to build.”
The Investor Education and Awareness initiative will be supported through a multi-channel outreach strategy comprising print advertising, digital campaigns, social media engagement, influencer collaborations, as well as online and offline Investor Awareness Programmes (IAPs) conducted across HDFC Mutual Fund’s branch network. The campaign will also include personalised appreciation messages for doctors through the company’s employees and partners.
Through the WealthCare initiative, HDFC Mutual Fund said it continues to strengthen its commitment to investor education by using relatable storytelling to promote financial awareness and encourage informed investment decisions among healthcare professionals.
