LUXEMBOURG: SUSE®, a global leader in innovative, open and secure enterprise-grade solutions, has announced the appointment of Margaret Dawson as Chief Marketing Officer. In this role, Dawson will drive SUSE’s global marketing strategy and strengthen its presence worldwide as the company continues its growth trajectory in open source leadership.

As CMO, Dawson will define and amplify SUSE’s narrative in the enterprise open source software market, ensuring cohesive messaging across brand, product, customer, and community touchpoints.
Dawson brings more than 25 years of experience in technology marketing and product strategy, having held leadership roles at Amazon, Microsoft, HP, and Red Hat. Most recently, she served as CMO at Chronosphere, where she played a key role in boosting brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue. She is also a recognized author, speaker, and industry leader, celebrated as one of the Top Women in Cloud Computing and honored with awards such as Business Role Model of the Year for Women in IT and Top 50 Women Leaders of Seattle.
Alongside Dawson’s appointment, SUSE announced additions to its global go-to-market leadership team. Dongun Lee has been named South Korea regional leader; Gen Watanabe, Japan regional leader; Kingsley Wood, Head of North America Solution Architecture; and Joao Pereira, Brazilian public sector leader. In Europe, Holger Pfister has been promoted to VP, DACH region, recognizing his contributions in driving SUSE’s leadership at a time when sovereign solutions are in high demand.
