YouTube Unveils Foundry Class of 2025: Backing India’s Next Generation of Music Trailblazers
Share Share ShareShare

Mumbai: YouTube has announced the three Indian artists selected for its Foundry Class of 2025 — Pragati Nagpal, Tanishka Bahl, and Chaar Diwaari (Garv Taneja) — marking another milestone in the platform’s commitment to nurturing India’s next generation of music creators.

The Foundry program, YouTube’s flagship global artist development initiative, provides emerging talent with resources, strategic guidance, and promotional support to accelerate their careers. Participants gain access to partner support for content strategy, audience development, and creative project execution — alongside opportunities for global visibility through exclusive YouTube events and campaigns.

Empowering India’s Diverse Music Voices

Each of the three artists represents a distinct facet of India’s evolving soundscape:

  • Chaar Diwaari (Garv Taneja), a 22-year-old emcee and producer from New Delhi, is known for his experimental approach to Hip-Hop. Self-taught through YouTube tutorials, he has built a signature style fusing gruff electronic textures and psychedelic dubstep, as heard in his standout tracks Jhaag and Thehra. His journey underscores how digital platforms can serve as creative classrooms for independent musicians.
  • Pragati Nagpal, the Gen-Z singer-songwriter who began by uploading acoustic covers during the lockdown, has since become one of India’s rising pop sensations. From her breakout collaborations — including Pehla Nasha 2.0 with Armaan Malik — to representing India at Cannes and touring nationally with Himesh Reshammiya, Pragati has leveraged YouTube to turn her digital beginnings into real-world success and a dedicated fan community.
  • Tanishka Bahl, whose music bridges contemporary pop, indie, and Indian influences, represents the power of authenticity in the digital age. Her musical journey, shaped by formal training and her mother’s influence, has flourished on YouTube through her vlogs and original compositions. Her latest project, UR Debut, reflects her commitment to creative freedom and sustainable artistry.

Supporting the Future of Independent Music

With India emerging as one of the world’s fastest-growing music markets, YouTube continues to play a pivotal role in enabling artists to reach global audiences. The Foundry initiative aims to empower independent musicians to build sustainable careers by giving them tools to experiment, connect, and thrive in a creator-first ecosystem.

“YouTube Foundry is about more than exposure — it’s about giving artists the creative freedom and digital support they need to define their own paths,” said the company in a statement. “We’re proud to welcome Pragati, Tanishka, and Chaar Diwaari to the Class of 2025 as they inspire the next generation of global music creators.”

Through its Foundry program, YouTube reaffirms its vision of transforming India’s creative economy — amplifying local voices, championing artistic individuality, and positioning Indian music talent on the global stage
