California: inDrive, the world’s second most downloaded ride-hailing app, has launched a global campaign to recruit senior leaders in child protection, education, and governance, extending its mission-driven business model into organizational leadership. Dubbed “Positions of Purpose,” the initiative aims to strengthen the company’s impact arm and advance inDrive’s goal of positively affecting 1 billion people by 2030.
The campaign introduces three new roles:
- Global Director, Family-Based Care in Child Protection
- Global Director, Education Policy and Systems Strengthening
- Global Director, Impact Governance and Public Policy
By integrating social justice leadership roles alongside traditional functions like growth, product, and operations, inDrive is challenging conventional tech hiring norms. The company, which operates in nearly 1,000 cities across 48 countries, emphasizes that fair business practices and social impact should coexist at the core of its organizational structure.

“We operate across many emerging and underserved markets. If our mission is to challenge injustice, we have to build the leadership capacity to deliver it at scale,” said Arsen Tomsky, Founder and CEO of inDrive. “These roles will help us translate intent into impact — strengthening families, improving education systems, and advancing good governance.”
inDrive’s impact team, comprising over 70 professionals, currently runs eight in-house programs spanning education, sports, women’s entrepreneurship, air quality, and driver empowerment. The launch of Positions of Purpose underscores the company’s strategy to scale social programs alongside its business growth.
The initiative also includes broader roles that blend business and social impact, marked with the “Positions of Purpose” label on inDrive’s career website. Applicants from both business and nonprofit backgrounds are encouraged to apply, with all roles offering competitive compensation and remote work options.
