COLORS dominates 2025 with a power-packed slate of landmark entertainment properties
Share Share ShareShare

Mumbai: COLORS emerged as one of Indian television’s most influential entertainment networks in 2025, delivering a year marked by blockbuster formats, high-impact storytelling, and mass audience engagement across reality, fiction, fantasy, and mythology.

The channel’s non-fiction slate powered national conversations, led by the homegrown hit Laughter Chefs Unlimited Entertainment, which redefined weekend viewing with its unique blend of comedy and culinary chaos across multiple seasons. The format quickly became a family favourite, reinforcing COLORS’ strength in creating appointment-viewing properties. Adding to the momentum, Dhamaal with Pati Patni Aur Panga broke away from conventional couple shows by celebrating real-life marital dynamics with humour and honesty, resonating strongly with Indian households.

Reality television reached new heights with Bigg Boss 19, which returned with a bold political theme, “Gharwalon Ki Sarkaar”. Hosted by Salman Khan, the season stood out for its democratic power shifts, high-voltage drama and cultural relevance, once again dominating viewership charts and social media discourse.

On the fiction front, COLORS delivered a diverse and emotionally rich programming slate. Shows such as Mangal Lakshmi, Mannat: Har Khushi Paane Ki, Seher Hone Ko Hai and Meri Bhavya Life explored themes of resilience, self-worth, ambition and evolving relationships, striking a chord with viewers across demographics. Youth-centric and relationship-driven narratives like Tu Juliet Jatt Di and Manpasand Ki Shaadi further strengthened the channel’s storytelling range.

Fantasy and supernatural genres continued to command loyal audiences, with the return of the iconic franchise Naagin 7, marking a decade of the Naagin universe. The new season introduced a larger national conflict at its core, reaffirming the franchise’s status as one of Indian television’s most successful fantasy properties. Supernatural thriller Noyontara also stood out for its layered storytelling and atmospheric intrigue.

COLORS further reinforced its leadership in mythology with Shiv Shakti: Tap Tyag Tandav, which continued to draw devotional audiences with its epic narrative rooted in India’s cultural consciousness.

As 2025 concluded, COLORS closed the year on a high, having delivered consistent ratings, cultural impact, and format innovation. Looking ahead to 2026, the network is set to build on this momentum with an ambitious slate featuring returning franchises and bold new stories, reaffirming its promise of bold, raw and emotionally compelling entertainment for Indian audiences.
