Bengaluru: Jungle Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on building enduring businesses across India and Southeast Asia, today announced two key leadership appointments aimed at strengthening its platform and deepening support for founders beyond capital.
Amrit Raj has been appointed as Jungle Ventures’ first Partner & Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). In this newly created role, Amrit will join the firm’s core leadership team to shape Jungle’s global platform strategy and support portfolio founders through moments of scale, transition, and inflection.
“At Jungle, we believe enduring companies are built at the intersection of conviction, craft, and credibility. As our portfolio scales across sectors and geographies, storytelling and brand-building must move from the edges to the core. Founders don’t need louder marketing; they need clarity, consistency, and trust as they scale. Amrit brings a rare blend of operator rigor and narrative depth, shaped by building a global B2B brand through moments of complexity and transition. That lived experience makes him a natural Partner at Jungle and a true, long-term partner to our founders,” said Amit Anand, Founding Partner, Jungle Ventures.
Commenting on his appointment, Amrit Raj said, “In a noisy ecosystem, what endures is trust that is built through clarity, consistency, and honest storytelling. Jungle has always stood out for the depth of its conviction and partnership with founders. I’m excited to join the firm to help strengthen its narrative and to support founders in building brands that are as credible and resilient as the businesses behind them.”
Amrit brings extensive experience across marketing, communications, journalism, and policy, having served at Zetwerk, ByteDance, Nissan, and Mint (HT Media). Notably, he was CMO at Zetwerk during a period of rapid expansion, helping the company scale from a USD 600 million valuation to over USD 3.1 billion and grow gross merchandise value from USD 100 million to more than USD 2 billion.
Jungle Ventures also announced the appointment of Shruti Malhotra as Director – Content & Community. In this role, Shruti will lead content, community, and founder engagement initiatives, strengthening the firm’s platform through credible storytelling and deeper connections across its portfolio and the broader startup ecosystem.
“Founders today are building in an environment of constant noise, scrutiny, and short-termism. Shruti has spent her career separating signal from noise and creating platforms grounded in credibility and context. Her role at Jungle is about helping founders build trust over time through clarity of narrative, strength of community, and integrity of voice,” said Amit Anand.
Shruti brings over two decades of experience across business journalism, media leadership, and ecosystem-building, including leadership roles at CNBC-TV18, NDTV Profit, ET NOW, and UTVi (Bloomberg TV), where she focused on founder-focused content, platforms, and communities.
With these appointments, Jungle Ventures reinforces its commitment to supporting founders not just with capital, but with strategic guidance, storytelling, and community engagement as its portfolio continues to scale across India and Southeast Asia.
