Mumbai: Colors Gujarati, the only channel dedicated exclusively to Gujarati entertainment, is set to strengthen its programming slate with the launch of two new television shows—Gangasati–Paanbai and Manmelo—starting February 2. Deeply inspired by Gujarat’s cultural ethos, the channel continues to build authentic, rooted narratives that reflect the state’s values, devotion, literature, emotions, and history.
Staying true to its promise of Authentic Gujarati Entertainment, Colors Gujarati opens a new chapter with Gangasati–Paanbai: Shyam Dhun No Navo Adhyay, airing at 7:30 PM. Drawing from the timeless bhajans and devotional poetry of revered saint-poetesses Gangasati and Paanbai, the show presents their spiritual philosophy through a contemporary narrative lens. Designed to resonate with today’s audiences, the series blends devotion, human values, inner reflection, and soulful music, offering a fresh interpretation of Gujarat’s spiritual legacy.
Following this, at 9:30 PM, the channel will premiere Manmelo, a romantic family drama that explores relationships across social and economic divides. The story centres on three sisters from a middle-class family whose lives take unexpected turns when they form emotional connections with three brothers from an affluent household. As their worlds collide, the narrative unfolds themes of love, ambition, social contrasts, and emotional responsibility, capturing the complexities of modern relationships and married life.
Commenting on the dual launch, a Colors Gujarati spokesperson said, “Our continued focus lies in offering viewers meaningful and high-quality content while staying true to the essence of Gujarati culture. With the launch of Gangasati–Paanbai and Manmelo, we are thrilled to once again bring two distinct stories to television. Gangasati–Paanbai goes beyond devotion to celebrates human values and harmony, while Manmelo reflects the emotional choices young audiences face today as they balance love and responsibility. Together, these shows reaffirm our commitment to keeping cultural values alive through compelling, family-focused storytelling.”
With the back-to-back premieres of Gangasati–Paanbai and Manmelo, Colors Gujarati continues to reinforce its position as a leading destination for culturally resonant, story-driven entertainment for Gujarati audiences.
