Mumbai: Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited has launched a new nationwide initiative titled ‘Heart ke Liye 8 – Making India Heart Strong’, aimed at encouraging Indians to adopt simple, consistent daily habits to improve heart health.
With cardiovascular diseases accounting for nearly one-fifth of global CVD-related deaths originating from India—and increasingly affecting individuals at a younger age—the campaign takes a prevention-first approach. The initiative is structured around eight essential pillars of heart health, designed to help individuals make small but meaningful lifestyle changes that support long-term cardiovascular well-being.
As part of the campaign, Sun Pharma has rolled out a multilingual awareness film along with extensive on-ground initiatives across the country. These include heart screening camps, CPR training sessions, and patient education programmes, aimed at improving awareness, early detection, and emergency preparedness at the community level.
‘Heart ke Liye 8’ aligns with Sun Pharma’s broader commitment to strengthening preventive healthcare in India, with a focus on awareness-building, early diagnosis, and empowering individuals to take proactive steps toward better heart health. Through this initiative, the company seeks to contribute to reducing the burden of cardiovascular disease and building a heart-healthy India.
