Mumbai: Asian Paints has unveiled a new episode of Where The Heart Is Season 9, offering an intimate glimpse into the Delhi home of India men’s head coach Gautam Gambhir and his wife Natasha Gambhir. The episode opens the doors to a thoughtfully designed sanctuary that reflects balance, restraint and deeply personal choices.
Set in a calm, tree-lined neighbourhood of Delhi, the two-storey residence is conceived as a quiet retreat from the demands of public life. Flooded with natural light and softened by layered textures, the home mirrors a lifestyle centred on connection, comfort and simplicity rather than spectacle.
Known for his intensity on the field, Gautam reveals a different side of himself within these walls. “On the field, I’m Gambhir. At home, I’m Gautam,” he says—a distinction that underscores the home’s understated elegance and emotional grounding. Having left home at a young age to pursue cricket, he carries a deep understanding of what stability and reassurance mean. “When you come back home, this is your space; a place that makes you feel secure and stable,” he reflects.
At the heart of the residence is a soaring atrium crowned with a domed ceiling, where sunlight filters through the day, creating shifting patterns across the interiors. The walls are finished in Lankan Jasmine from Asian Paints’ Nilaya Arc Matt range, lending tactile warmth and a breathable softness to the space. The colour palette remains intentionally restrained. “My favourite colours are white and ivory,” Gautam shares, allowing natural textures, light and architectural elements to take centre stage.
While Gautam’s preference for clean neutrals forms the foundation, Natasha introduces warmth and character through classic furniture, carved wood accents, polished marble surfaces and subtle metallic details. Soft drapery, delicate pelmets and layered textures ensure the home feels lived-in and personal. As Gautam puts it, “Home design is about making the right choice. There are so many options and colours, but what matters most is what you like.”
Season 9 also marks the introduction of the Asian Paints Where The Heart Is Lookbook, a companion guide inspired by the homes featured in the series. Drawing cues from Gautam and Natasha’s residence, the Lookbook translates their calm palette of whites and ivories into curated colour stories and practical design inspirations, enabling viewers to reinterpret similar harmony within their own spaces.
The episode further explores a thoughtfully curated trophy lounge that traces Gautam’s cricketing journey. Awards are displayed with restraint alongside family photographs and books, reinforcing that sentiment outweighs accolades. “This room has been created with a lot of love and affection, which, for me, matters far more than all the achievements,” he says. The space becomes less about victories and more about perseverance and shared memories.
The narrative then moves to the daughters’ rooms, designed around comfort, light and functionality. Smart storage solutions, uncluttered layouts and neutral tones create an environment that supports both play and quiet reflection.
At its core, the episode highlights a universal truth — that beyond public milestones and professional demands, home remains a place of stillness and security. As Gautam reiterates, “When you come back home, this is your space, a place that makes you feel secure and stable.” Through this episode, Asian Paints once again positions home not merely as a design statement, but as an emotional anchor — a place where life slows down and peace prevails.
