Mumbai: Kazam has rolled out a quirky April Fool’s Day campaign with the launch of ‘Vrooom’—a fictional “fortified energy drink” positioned with the tagline ‘0 to 100. No Plug Required’, blending humour with a strong brand message around EV performance in extreme conditions.
Conceptualised as a tongue-in-cheek stunt, the campaign comes as India prepares for another intense summer, a season that often impacts EV performance through heat-induced battery stress, reduced range, and grid challenges. With ‘Vrooom’, Kazam creatively draws parallels between human fatigue and EV “range anxiety,” reinforcing its positioning as a reliable energy and charging solutions provider.
The digital-first campaign, launched across Instagram and Facebook starting March 30, showcases commuters humorously “consuming” Vrooom to power through daily travel challenges. Beneath the satire, the campaign highlights Kazam’s technology capabilities in addressing real-world EV issues during extreme weather conditions.

“We wanted a laugh-out-loud April Fool’s stunt, so what could be funnier than an EV tech company launching an energy drink? Especially with India’s brutal summers kicking in. Vrooom lets us say it out loud: Kazam keeps India charged, no matter how relentless the heat,” said Vani Vivek, Head of Marketing at Kazam. “Absurd on the surface, but it spotlights our battle-tested solutions built for Indian conditions.”
With this campaign, Kazam leverages humour-led storytelling to deepen consumer engagement while subtly reinforcing its core value proposition—ensuring uninterrupted mobility through robust EV charging infrastructure tailored for India’s demanding climate.
