Mumbai: Dentsu India has announced the appointment of Paroma Dayal as Vice President – Sports, Gaming, eSports & Live Experiences, as the network continues to scale its Sports & Entertainment practice in the country.
In her new role, Dayal will report to Rohit Potphode, Managing Partner – Sports, Gaming, eSports & Live Experiences, and work closely with Yosuke Murai and the broader leadership team. Her mandate will focus on driving revenue-led partnerships at the intersection of brands, culture, and audiences.
According to an update shared on the Dentsu India portal, Dayal will lead partnerships across sports, gaming, esports, and live experiences, with a strong emphasis on sponsorship sales, new business development, and strategic deal-making. She will also be responsible for building high-value brand–IP integrations and delivering insight-driven solutions that create measurable business impact. A key part of her role will involve identifying the right brand–IP fit and scaling culturally relevant collaborations that resonate with audiences while creating long-term value for brands and stakeholders.
Additionally, she will work in close collaboration with Dentsu’s media, creative, data, and content teams to deliver integrated, cross-platform solutions for clients.
Dayal joins with over 17 years of experience across leading digital and broadcast platforms including Quora, MX Player, Viacom18, Star India, India Today Group, Network18, and NDTV. During her career, she has led integrated brand partnerships across marquee properties such as MTV Roadies, MTV Splitsvilla, MTV Hustle, and MTV Unplugged. At MX Player, she also contributed to esports-led branded content initiatives such as “Gamers Den,” further strengthening her expertise in evolving sports monetisation models.
Her appointment comes on the back of Dentsu India’s recent launch of its dedicated Sports & Entertainment division—its first such market following the global rollout at Cannes Lions 2025. The move underscores the network’s focus on bridging culture and commerce through sports, esports, anime, influencer ecosystems, and content-led experiences, aligned with its global ‘Transformative Creativity’ proposition.
Commenting on the appointment, Potphode said that Dayal brings “a wealth of domain expertise” and a proven track record in building high-impact, award-winning partnerships and IPs. “We are delighted to welcome her to the team,” he noted.
Murai added that her appointment marks “an important step” in strengthening the company’s Sports & Entertainment ambitions in India, highlighting her ability to build culturally resonant partnerships that deliver tangible business outcomes.
Dayal, on her part, said that sports, gaming, esports, and live experiences are increasingly shaping how brands engage with audiences. She emphasised her focus on building integrated, insight-led partnerships that combine creativity, data, and culture to drive meaningful consumer connections and unlock new revenue opportunities at scale.
