Ahmedabad: Wagh Bakri Tea Group has announced the appointment of Tushar Tripathi as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), marking a key leadership transition as the company looks to accelerate its strategic vision, innovation agenda, and sustainable growth.
In his new role, Tripathi will be responsible for steering the organisation’s overall business strategy, strengthening operational efficiency, and driving long-term value creation. He succeeds from within the organisation, having previously served as Chief Operating Officer, where he led Plant, Operations, and Projects.
A veteran within the Group, Tripathi brings over 17 years of experience at Wagh Bakri, with deep expertise across operations, manufacturing, supply chain management, quality systems, and business transformation. During his tenure, he has played a pivotal role in enhancing operational excellence and scaling the company’s infrastructure and capabilities.
Among his key contributions are the introduction of the first ASRS (Automated Storage & Retrieval System) in India’s tea industry, implementation of global quality and food safety standards, establishment of a NABL-accredited quality lab, and expansion of manufacturing and distribution networks.

Tripathi holds a BE in Mechanical Engineering and has completed management development programmes in project management and logistics management from leading Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs).
