Santoor remixes sandalwood for a new generation with Sreeleela leading the beat

Bengalore: Santoor Shower Gels, part of Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting, has announced actor Sreeleela as its new brand ambassador, alongside the launch of its latest campaign titled ‘Sandalwood Ka Remix’.

With this launch, the brand extends its iconic sandalwood proposition into a modern liquid body wash format, catering to evolving consumer bathing habits. Infused with sandalwood and gardenia extracts, the range is designed to deliver skin softness and glow, with a gentle, pH-balanced formulation suitable for everyday use.

The ‘Sandalwood Ka Remix’ campaign reimagines the brand’s core ingredient in a contemporary context, blending tradition with modern sensibilities. The onboarding of Sreeleela further reinforces this positioning, bringing together heritage and youthful appeal.

On this campaign, S. Prasanna Rai, Senior Vice President – Marketing, Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting said, “Sandalwood has always been at the core of Santoor’s heritage. We are delighted to welcome Sreeleela on board as the face of Santoor Shower Gels. Her vibrant screen presence and contemporary appeal align well with the brand and our consumers.”

Speaking about the association, actor Sreeleela added, “I have always associated sandalwood with timeless beauty and care. What I love about Santoor Sandalwood Beauty Wash is how they’ve given this classic ingredient a modern twist. The idea of ‘Sandalwood Ka Remix’ felt very relatable to me, it reflects how our generation blends tradition with a fresh perspective. I’m delighted to be the face of Santoor Shower Gels and to be part of this exciting journey.”

Conceptualised by Ogilvy, the campaign draws parallels with reimagined classics, presenting sandalwood in a refreshed, contemporary body wash format. It will be rolled out across television and digital platforms as part of an integrated marketing strategy.
