Mumbai: Nivin Pauly starrer political thriller Prathichaya is set to premiere on JioHotstar from April 24. Written and directed by B. Unnikrishnan, the film is jointly produced by Sree Gokulam Movies and RD Illuminations.
The film centres on serious allegations made against Kerala Chief Minister K.N. Varghese and follows the journey of his younger son, John Varghese, played by Nivin Pauly, as he attempts to restore his father’s tarnished reputation. Veteran actor Balachandra Menon essays the role of K.N. Varghese.
Prathichaya features a strong ensemble cast including Sharafudheen, Maniyanpilla Raju, Harisree Ashokan, Sai Kumar, Nishanth Sagar, Vijitha Vijayakumar, Ann Augustine, Neetu Krishna, Sabitha Anand, Vishnu Agasthya, Vaishakh Shankar, Megha Thomas, Chirag Jani, Aneena, Nandini Gopalakrishnan and Chilamban Jose, among others.
The film’s technical crew includes cinematographer Chandru Selvaraj, music composer Justin Varghese, and editor Manoj. Positioned as an engaging political thriller, Prathichaya aims to deliver a gripping narrative experience when it begins streaming later this week.
