Bengaluru: Tata Motors reported a strong performance in April 2026, registering a 28% year-on-year (YoY) growth in total commercial vehicle sales. The company recorded total sales of 34,833 units across domestic and international markets, compared to 27,221 units in April 2025.
Domestic sales stood at 32,965 units in April 2026, up 27.9% from 25,764 units in the same month last year. Meanwhile, international business contributed 1,868 units, reflecting a 28.2% increase over 1,457 units in April 2025.
Across segments, HCV truck sales rose to 8,969 units, marking a 23.4% growth, while ILMCV trucks recorded sales of 5,454 units, up 16.5% YoY. Passenger carriers also saw healthy traction with 5,743 units sold, registering a 22.6% increase.
The SCV cargo and pickup segment emerged as a key growth driver, posting a robust 40.2% rise to 12,799 units in April 2026, compared to 9,131 units in April 2025.
Domestic sales of MH&ICV stood at 14,565 units during the month, up from 12,093 units a year earlier. On a combined domestic and international basis, MH&ICV sales reached 15,403 units, compared to 12,760 units in April 2025.
The performance reflects sustained demand across segments and continued momentum in both domestic and export markets for Tata Motors’ commercial vehicle business.
