Bangalore: Tredence, an AI and data science company, has announced the appointment of technology industry veteran Shashank Samant as an Independent Director on its Board. The move comes at a strategic stage in the company’s growth journey as it sharpens its focus on scaling AI-led transformation and advancing intelligent, last-mile decision systems for global enterprises.
A seasoned entrepreneur with more than three decades of experience across the technology sector, Samant has founded and scaled two multi-billion-dollar technology enterprises across more than 20 countries. His expertise spanning technology, energy, and consumer durables is expected to strengthen Tredence’s cross-industry AI capabilities.
Most recently, Samant served as CEO and President of GlobalLogic, where he led the company through significant expansion culminating in its $10 billion acquisition by Hitachi Ltd. He continues to serve as a Board Member for Hitachi Energy and Hitachi Rail.
His current board portfolio includes software leadership roles with Mercedes-Benz and Hilti Corporation, public board responsibilities at Eureka Forbes, and advisory and board positions with technology and AI-led companies including Turing and Cyderes. He also serves as a senior advisor to private equity firms Permira and Apollo Global.

Commenting on the appointment, Shub Bhowmick, Co-founder and CEO, Tredence, said, “Shashank brings an extraordinary combination of operating credibility and board-level insight to Tredence. He has built global technology businesses from the ground up, guided enterprises through complex transformations, and understands what it takes to win in international markets. We are at an inflection point, and having Shashank alongside us as we scale is a significant advantage. We are delighted to welcome him to our Board”.
Beyond his board appointment, Samant has been closely engaged with Tredence’s leadership team over recent months to assess market opportunities and help shape the company’s long-term strategic direction.
Speaking on his appointment, Shashank Samant said, “Enterprise leaders today aren’t just buying technology; they want strategic partners who drive tangible business outcomes. Tredence stands out because they are actively defining a new category centered on last-mile AI execution. They have earned the trust of global brands, with their customer centricity and strong execution skills. I look forward to working with the leadership team to scale this category-defining approach worldwide.”
Founded as an AI-native company, Tredence has focused on developing platforms, solutions, and delivery capabilities that help enterprises bridge the gap between AI experimentation and scalable business outcomes.
The company is currently advancing its vision around Agentic Decision Intelligence (ADI)—a category that combines data, AI, and autonomous transformation to enable outcome-driven enterprise decision-making.
Over recent months, Tredence has expanded its presence across Europe, the Middle East, and Australia while strengthening its footprint in the United States. The company has also secured several large enterprise engagements, positioning itself as a partner for complex transformation programs driven by AI and data-led execution.
With the addition of Samant to its Board, Tredence aims to further accelerate its global expansion and deepen its leadership in enterprise AI adoption and transformation.
