Mumbai: Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Ltd has appointed Mohit Pradhan as Vice President and Category Leader for its Feminine Hygiene business, effective August 1, 2026, as part of a broader leadership transition within the company.
Pradhan will take over the role from Girish Kalyanaraman, whose responsibilities within the Procter & Gamble organisation are set to change from July 1, 2026.
The appointment brings a seasoned P&G executive to the helm of one of the company’s key business segments in India. Over a career spanning nearly 20 years with the consumer goods giant, Pradhan has held leadership roles across multiple markets, including India, Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa.
Most recently, he served as Vice President and General Manager for P&G Indonesia, where he oversaw business growth initiatives, organisational development and stakeholder engagement. His experience spans general management, commercial strategy, customer development, sales leadership and go-to-market transformation.
A management graduate from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, Pradhan began his career with P&G as a summer intern. He also holds an engineering degree from the Marine Engineering & Research Institute, Kolkata.
The leadership change comes at a time when P&G Hygiene and Health Care has been undertaking a series of boardroom and management transitions. Earlier, the company announced the redesignation of Ghanashyam Hegde as a Non-Executive Director effective July 1, 2026. It also disclosed that Gaurav Bhartia would step down as Chief Financial Officer at the end of June.
P&G Hygiene and Health Care operates in the healthcare and feminine hygiene categories in India and owns brands such as Whisper and Vicks.
The leadership reshuffle follows a strong financial year for the company. Revenue from operations increased to Rs 4,290.4 crore in FY26 from Rs 3,411.7 crore a year earlier, while net profit rose 34.5% year-on-year to Rs 856.5 crore.
The company also reported lower operating expenses during the fourth quarter, with total expenses declining to Rs 735 crore compared with Rs 798 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
On a consolidated basis, P&G Hygiene reported sales of approximately Rs 4,290 crore for FY26, while profit after tax climbed 19% to Rs 857 crore. The company attributed the improvement in profitability to a favourable product mix, productivity enhancements and operational efficiency initiatives.
With Pradhan’s appointment, P&G is expected to continue strengthening its focus on the feminine hygiene category, a key growth segment within its India portfolio.
