Mumbai: FMCG major Emami Ltd has promoted Sayuj Jaganathan to the role of Vice President and Business Head, reinforcing its leadership team as the company continues to focus on growth, digital transformation, and category expansion.
Jaganathan steps into the expanded leadership role after playing a key part in advancing Emami’s digital commerce strategy. Since joining the company in 2021 as Head of eCommerce, he has led initiatives aimed at strengthening the company’s online presence, accelerating digital sales, and driving omnichannel growth across several brands.
With over 15 years of experience spanning brand management, e-commerce, direct-to-consumer (D2C) businesses, category development, and business strategy, Jaganathan brings a diverse mix of consumer goods and digital expertise to his new position.
Before joining Emami, he spent more than a decade at CavinKare, where he held leadership responsibilities across multiple product categories, including hair care, skincare, fragrances, dairy, beverages, and D2C businesses. During his tenure, he was involved in launching and scaling several products while contributing to business growth and market expansion efforts.
In addition to his corporate career, Jaganathan has also been associated with academia, serving as a Visiting Faculty Member at Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA), where he contributed to management education and leadership development.
In his new role, Jaganathan will oversee strategic business initiatives and play a key role in strengthening Emami’s market position across categories. His appointment reflects the company’s continued emphasis on nurturing internal talent while building leadership capabilities aligned with evolving consumer and digital market trends.
The elevation comes at a time when FMCG companies are increasingly integrating digital commerce, omnichannel distribution, and consumer-centric innovation into their long-term growth strategies, areas where Jaganathan has built significant expertise throughout his career.
