New Delhi: Uber, one of India’s leading ridesharing platforms, has appointed Arpit Tyagi as Head of Advertising in India, reinforcing the company’s focus on expanding its advertising business and strengthening partnerships with brands, agencies, merchants and marketers across the country.
The appointment comes as Uber Advertising enters its next phase of growth in India, with the company establishing a dedicated India-based advertising team under Tyagi’s leadership, supported by Uber Advertising’s regional and global teams.
The move marks a significant milestone for Uber Advertising as it deepens investment in one of its fastest-growing markets and aims to broaden engagement with advertisers through solutions designed to connect brands with consumers in real-world, high-intent moments.
In his new role, Tyagi will lead Uber Advertising’s commercial strategy and operations in India, driving growth across the company’s advertising offerings and enabling brands to engage audiences across the Uber platform.
Tyagi brings more than 15 years of experience across advertising, media, marketing technology and digital transformation. He spent a significant part of his career at Amazon, where he worked with brands and agencies through Amazon Ads to develop retail media and data-led marketing strategies. Most recently, he served as Director, Enterprise Sales at The Trade Desk, leading strategic partnerships with some of India’s largest advertisers and agencies.
