Mumbai: CenturyPly has unveiled its latest integrated campaign, ‘Hara Board Ka Asli Boss’, for Century HDF Premium Plus, featuring cricket legend Rahul Dravid and actor Saurabh Shukla. The pan-India campaign aims to strengthen consumer preference for the premium HDF board category by shifting the focus from advertising claims to product performance and trust.
The campaign is part of CenturyPly’s broader strategy to drive growth in the premium HDF segment by positioning dependability as the key factor in consumers’ purchasing decisions. The company believes that as homeowners become increasingly discerning while investing in interiors, proven quality and long-term performance are emerging as critical differentiators.
Built around the insight that consumers seek trusted quality over exaggerated claims for long-term home investments, the campaign introduces the proposition, ‘Hara Board Ka Asli Boss.’
At the heart of the campaign is a narrative where Saurabh Shukla plays a skeptical customer who questions every claim, reflecting today’s informed consumer. Rahul Dravid, known for his reputation as “Mr. Dependable,” responds through product demonstrations rather than promises, reinforcing the brand’s message that consistent performance earns trust.
CenturyPly said the campaign leverages Dravid’s image of reliability as a brand metaphor for Century HDF Premium Plus, while using humour to make technical product attributes more engaging and memorable. The chemistry between Dravid’s composed confidence and Shukla’s witty skepticism transforms a product demonstration into an entertaining narrative designed to improve consumer recall.
The campaign also marks a shift in CenturyPly’s communication philosophy, encouraging consumers to trust evidence over advertising claims and positioning consistent performance as the hallmark of true leadership.
Century HDF Premium Plus is manufactured using Advanced German Gen-9 Prod-IQ and Bonding Technology and offers features including enhanced strength, water and moisture resistance, termite and borer resistance, anti-fungal protection, and a 20-year warranty, making it suitable for residential and commercial interior applications.

Sharing the strategic thinking behind the campaign, Keshav Bhajanka, Executive Director, Century Plyboards (India) Ltd., said, “Today’s consumers don’t make decisions based on claims alone. They seek brands they can trust, especially when investing in their homes. With ‘Hara Board Ka Asli Boss’, we wanted to shift the conversation from simply saying we’re dependable to demonstrating why we are. Rahul Dravid’s enduring image as ‘Mr. Dependable’ perfectly embodies the values that define Century HDF Premium Plus. Combined with humour and relatable storytelling, the campaign enables us to communicate our product’s technical excellence in a way that is engaging, memorable and, above all, credible. At CenturyPly, we believe trust isn’t built through advertising alone. It is earned through consistent performance. That belief lies at the heart of this campaign.”
Conceptualised by VML, produced by WPP Productions, and directed by Rajesh Saathi, the campaign will be rolled out through an integrated national media plan spanning television, digital, social media, and below-the-line initiatives. It will be released in Hindi, English, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, and Odia to ensure broad regional reach while maintaining a consistent national message.
The campaign film will be available across CenturyPly’s digital platforms and YouTube channel as part of the nationwide launch.
