Mumbai: Bajaj Electricals has strengthened its senior leadership team with the appointment of Krishnan Sundaram as Chief Growth & New Business Officer, effective August 11, 2026, as the company sharpens its focus on accelerating growth and expanding new business opportunities.
The appointment was approved by the company’s Board of Directors at its meeting held on Thursday. Bajaj Electricals also designated Sundaram as a Senior Management Personnel, according to a regulatory filing.
Sundaram brings more than two decades of experience in consumer goods, having built an extensive career in marketing, category management and profit-and-loss leadership across multiple product segments.
Before joining Bajaj Electricals, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Vini Cosmetics, the KKR-backed personal care company. He took over the role after leaving Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) in 2024.
During his tenure at HUL, Sundaram held several leadership positions spanning detergents, tea and nutrition businesses. In his most recent assignment, he was Vice President & Business Head – Functional Nutrition, overseeing brands such as Horlicks following HUL’s acquisition of GSK Consumer Healthcare’s nutrition portfolio.
He played a key role in integrating the acquired nutrition business into HUL and managed the end-to-end profit and loss responsibility for a business valued at approximately Rs 4,500 crore. His remit included driving growth, managing operations and leading the integration of brands including Horlicks and Boost into HUL’s portfolio.
Having begun his professional journey as a management trainee, Sundaram has built expertise across brand building, business strategy and category development, making him one of the seasoned leaders in India’s fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.
His appointment comes as Bajaj Electricals continues to strengthen its leadership bench to support its next phase of growth and business expansion across existing and emerging opportunities.
