Mumbai: Modern parenting essentials brand Loopie has unveiled The Metamorphosis, a storytelling-led campaign created in collaboration with custom sneaker studio Courtside. The campaign explores the evolving identity of parents, positioning parenthood not as a departure from one’s individuality but as an opportunity to discover a new version of oneself.
As part of the collaboration, Loopie and Courtside have reimagined Loopie’s Robin diaper bag through five one-of-one, hand-painted creations. The five original pieces are being auctioned, with 100% of the proceeds going towards Mumbai-based non-profit The Opentree Foundation, which works to make play-based learning accessible to children from underserved communities.
Built around the belief that parenting products should enable parents’ journeys rather than define them, The Metamorphosis seeks to shift the conversation from parenting as self-sacrifice to parenthood as an evolution of identity. The phased campaign is unfolding through film, art and purpose-led initiatives, with the brand film establishing the central narrative around identity, individuality and contemporary parenting.
Set against the streets of Jaipur, the film follows a father who continues to pursue his passion for photography while navigating parenthood. Accompanied by his baby, he explores the city’s markets, lanes and rugged terrain, with Loopie’s stroller and Robin diaper bag integrated into his journey.
The narrative positions the products as enablers rather than the focus of the story, demonstrating how thoughtful parenting essentials can help parents continue pursuing their interests and passions alongside their children.
“The Metamorphosis feels like a natural expression of the brand we’re building. We’ve never seen our products as the destination. They’re meant to enable experiences, passions and the lives parents want to continue living. That’s why it was important for us to bring this idea to life beyond a film. Collaborating with Courtside allowed us to express the campaign through a different creative lens, transforming an everyday parenting essential into something that celebrates individuality. We spend so much of our lives telling children to be unapologetically themselves. I think parents deserve that reminder too,” said Akriti Gupta, CEO & Founder, Loopie.
Speaking about the campaign, Rini Goel, Head of Marketing, Loopie, said, “For a category like ours, it’s easy to default to functional storytelling. With The Metamorphosis, we consciously moved away from demonstrating product features and instead focused on demonstrating product value through lived experiences. The creative challenge was to make the product feel indispensable without making it the hero. By following a father as he continues to pursue his passion with his baby by his side, we were able to showcase how Loopie fits seamlessly into modern parenting while building a more emotional and culturally relevant narrative for the brand.”
The campaign extends beyond the film through Loopie’s first-ever creative collaboration with Courtside. Saigun Grover, founder and artist at Courtside, has transformed five Robin diaper bags into one-of-one collectible artworks titled Static, Anchor, Mirror, Shift and Horizon.
Each artwork represents a different emotional stage of parenthood, collectively translating the campaign’s idea of transformation and evolving identity into a physical art form. The auction also adds a purpose-led dimension to the collaboration, with proceeds supporting The Opentree Foundation.
Through The Metamorphosis, Loopie is expanding its brand narrative beyond functional product communication, using creativity, design and purpose to engage with broader conversations around modern parenting and individuality.
