Chennai : Surya TV has displayed its might with the display of its Onam celebration programming lined up with plenty of Block buster movies, Super Hit Movies, Celebrity Interviews, Special Cookeries, Comedy skits and Onam special morning hours for a four days of celebrations.
As part of the celebration of the most welcomed festival of Kerala, Surya TV has planned for mega celebrations starting from 17th August onwards to 9th September. During the festival days the channel has lined-up a special morning celebrations with Onam Folk Songs, Interview of famous writers with their view on Onam, Celebration with TV artists and Surya Singer Kids to match with morning spirit and celebration mood of the audience. The Channel also has Celebrity talks with many happening stars from the Malayalam film industry.
The real power of Onam Special of any channel lies with its Block buster movies and Surya TV is determined to prove it with a strong line-up. Speaking about the Block buster SJ Clement, Network Programming Head – GEC, Sun TV Network said, “Surya TV has an elaborate schedule ongoing for Onam that started from August 17 and will go on till September 9. Apart from airing special shows, we’ve scheduled blockbuster premiere films like ‘Police Maaman,’ ‘1983,’ ‘Punyalan Agarbathis,’ etc. There will be special super hit movies of Mammootty, Mohanlal, Jayaram, Suresh Gopi, Nivin Pauly that will also be telecast between Sep 6th and 9th. Another highlight being the telecast of ‘How Old Are You’, a Malayalam super hit film which is still running successfully in theatres. The movie is sure to garner an encouraging response being a comeback movie for popular actress Manju Warrier after 14 years. The fact that an ongoing film screened across theatres is simultaneously getting aired on television for the first time makes it one of the most sought after initiatives by Surya TV.”
He further added, “We will have interviews of film personalities, Onam celebrations in some film locations, contests and many more. Viewers will have a choice to watch from a variety of shows this Onam exclusively on Surya TV and the celebration will continue till the end of September with premiere movies being showcased.”
