Mumbai: GTPL Broadband Pvt. Ltd. has appointed Vivek Raina as its Chief Executive Officer, reinforcing the company’s leadership team as it looks to accelerate growth in India’s wired broadband sector.
Raina joins GTPL Broadband after serving as Co-Founder and CEO of Excitel Broadband. Bringing more than 25 years of industry experience, he has worked across product development, business operations, distribution networks, and customer acquisition strategies in the telecommunications and broadband space.
In his new role, Raina will be responsible for steering the company’s next phase of expansion. His focus areas will include scaling both consumer and enterprise broadband businesses, enhancing customer experience, and driving the rollout of digital services across existing markets as well as new geographies.
The appointment comes at a time when GTPL Broadband continues to strengthen its footprint in the broadband market. The company currently serves over one million subscribers and has established a network reach of nearly six million home passes across its operating regions.
Prior to his stint at Excitel Broadband, Raina held leadership positions at Digicable, Reliance Communications, and Hathway, gaining extensive experience across multiple segments of the telecom and broadband ecosystem.
GTPL Broadband said the leadership change aligns with its broader strategy of bolstering management capabilities and expanding its presence in the country’s fast-growing broadband industry.
