Chennai : Tamil Satellite Channel Makkal TV has recently completed their 8 years of service and successfully ventured in to the 9th year in the Tamil Nadu market with a uniqueness in their programming pattern that stands apart from the regular GEC formats, where in the channels always gives a right combination of General entertainment and infotainment. The channel was started on 6th September 2006 by Makkal Tholai Thodarpu Kuzhumam.
Earlier, Couple of months before the channel has added slew of programs to increase the prominence of Entertainment factor. As a part of the revamp the channel has added “Neelambari” is a family drama which is being aired (Monday to Friday) @ 7.02pm and the story is based on the dictatorship of mother-in-law. Similarly, another romantic drama “Nee thaney en Pon Vasantham” is an interesting Love story which is being aired (Monday to Friday) @ 7.30 pm
The channel also has many multi genre hit properties like “Nodikku Nodi Adhiradhu”, “Kan Simittum Neram”, “Oor Sutralam Vanga”, “Marupakkam”, “Accham Thavir”, “Andam”, “Chinna Chinna Aasai”, “Attakaththi”, “Pan Paaduvom”, “Manam”, “Arusuvai Addukagam”etc… which are a mix of Game Shows, Fun Based quiz activity show, Cookery Shows, Crime Stories, Psychological Stories, Goodness Shows that updates on Natural Medicines and personality grooming Shows.
The channel also airs 9 news bulletin with 2 minutes duration a day at 9am, 11am, 12noon, 3 pm, 5pm, 6pm , 7pm, 9 pm and Five half 30 minutes news capsules at 8am, 10 am, 1.30 pm, 8pm , 10pm and also gives Market updates with a live telecast between 2PM to 3PM.
Makkal TV has organised an internal celebration of the channel’s ninth anniversary with its employees and senior management team.
