According to the television viewership data released by BARC India, The Hindi news genre saw maximum growth among all genres in the week 13 of 2020. In Week 13 Total TV has seen 42% growth in viewership.
The average reach in 000s from week 1 to 11 of 2020 was 1003042 which in just two weeks that is week 12 and 13 grew to 3345439 which translates into a 234% change. Hindi News genre grew the most as compared to other genres. Hindi Movies saw a 69% change and Hindi GECs saw only 10% growth. At an all India Level, AajTak claimed to be the new leader across all channels in reach, as per the Last 2 weeks of BARC ratings. AajTak leads the Hindi News Channel genre with gross impressions of 5924 which are 2.5 times more than the nearest competitor India TV.
