Advertising Avenues founder and advertising veteran Goutam Rakshit passed away last night.
Goutam Rakshit is credited with clutter-breaking campaigns as early as the 1980s and 1990s for brands like Onida, VIP Frenchie, Skypak Couriers, VIP Skybags among others.
The prayer meeting will be held after the Covid-19 lockdown is lifted.
“Mr Rakshit gave me the break in advertising when I was picked up from the campus in 1994. I learnt from him the first lessons of advertising. He taught me to be courageous, fearless, honest and work hard. These are mantras which I have tried to follow for the past 25 years,” said Joydeep Dasgupta, a senior marketing and advertising professional in a post on social media.
