Airtel Partners with Perplexity to Offer Free Perplexity Pro Subscription to 360 Million Customers

New Delhi: In a landmark move in India’s AI and telecom space, Bharti Airtel has announced a strategic partnership with Perplexity, the AI-powered search and answer engine, to provide a 12-month free subscription of Perplexity Pro (worth ₹17,000) to all of Airtel’s 360 million customers across mobile, Wi-Fi, and DTH services.

Perplexity Pro is designed to elevate the search experience by delivering accurate, real-time, and conversational answers rather than just listing web pages. The tool enables advanced capabilities like deep research, image generation, file uploads, access to premium AI models such as GPT-4.1 and Claude, and a unique innovation space called Perplexity Labs.

All Airtel users can avail this offer by logging onto the Airtel Thanks app. This marks Perplexity’s first telecom partnership in India, unlocking powerful AI access to diverse segments—from students and homemakers to professionals.
