Mumbai: Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd, one of the leading content houses in the country, pays tribute to Anandji Bhai (of Kalyanji Anandji duo) for his contribution to the Hindi Film Industry. Anand ji in association with Shemaroo Entertainment launches “51 Superhits of Kalaynji Anandji” – a jukebox on Shemaroo Entertainment’s Youtube channel – Filmi Gaane. The compilation features 51 original songs from films like Don, Saraswatichandra, Chhalia, Jab Jab Phool Khile, Victoria No 203, Sachaa Jhutha and many more besides the evergreen romantic hit “Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas” from “Blackmail”.
Anandji shared his thoughts on the occasion and said, “I was immensely touched when the idea was brought to me by a team of enthusiastic kids from Shemaroo. We worked together to create this compilation named 51 Superhits of Kalaynji Anandji and bring together musical treat for my fans. I am excited and waiting to see the response.”
He specifically spoke at length about the music of Saraswatichandra, a classic black & white film made in the colour era and for which Kalyanji-Anandji won the National Award for best music. Anandji also shared some very interesting trivia about the songs he & his elder brother composed for “Don”, “Victoria No. 203” & several other films whose songs are included in the compilation.
Anand ji’s special jukebox “51 Superhits of Kalyanji Anandji” will be available on YouTube channel “Filmi Gaane” – a treat for every Hindi Film Music Lover and the one-stop digital destination for Retro Bollywood Melodies.
