Ashaly P Joy has joined Collective Newsroom for BBC News Tamil as Senior Presenter. She previously worked for Deutsche Welle as Foreign Correspondent / Multimedia Editor.
Revealing the new role on her LinkedIn handle, Joy expressed, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Senior Presenter at Collective Newsroom / BBC News Tamil!”
Prior to BBC News Tamil, Joy worked for Deutsche Welle as Foreign Correspondent / Multimedia Editor between 2022 and 2024. Before this, she associated with Network18 Media as Assistant News Editor and Deputy Chief Anchor and Senior Special Correspondent at News18 Tamil Nadu, from 2016 to 2022. Previous to this, she served for Polimer Media as News Anchor and Reporter for Polimer News.
With seven years of experience, Joy has expertise in Journalism and Mass Communication. She has also been a Radio Jockey in many Tamil FM channels.
