Trivandrum: Malayalam general entertainment channel Asianet has lined up a special two-week programming schedule comprising comedy shows, films, music-based shows , interviews, cockery shows and other specials on the occasion of Onam.
In addition to exclusive programmes with popular actors like Mammootty , NivinPauly and Jayaram one of the major highlights of Asianet’s Onam 2017 offerings is ninw movie premieres.
On 3September, also known as ‘Uthradam Day’, the channel will premiere four films including “ OruMexiacanAparatha , staring : Tovino , Neeraj Madhav , Gayathri Suresh etc “ at 9:00 am, followed by ‘Achayans, starring: Jayaram, UnniMukundan , Amala Paul etc’ at 12:30 pm and ‘Pulimurugan , starring : Mohanlal, KamaliniMugharjeeetc’ at 3.30 pm. In the evening, the channel will telecast ‘Saghavu , starring : NivinPauly , Gayathri Suresh, Aparna Gopinath etc’ at 7 pm.

The next day (4 September), also known as ‘Thiruvonam Day’, will commence with a special chat show with Chief Minister of Kerala , PinarayiVIjayan and Ulakanayakan Kamal Hassan at 8am.
Movies for the day include ‘Swarnakaduva’ at 9:00 am, ‘PuthanPanam “ at 12.30 pm, ‘C\O. Sairabanu “ at 3.30 pm and ‘Bahubali – 2 “ at 7 pm.

Meanwhile, Asianet’s sister channel Asianet Plus will also air special programmes to ring in the festivities of Onam.
The channel will showcase exclusive interviews with leading artistes in onam weeks.
